Grass-fed animals eat 100% grass forage and nothing else. When animals are 100% grass-fed, their meat is not only lower in saturated fats but also higher in omega-3 fatty acids. Aside from the health benefits, we believe grass-fed meat is better for the environment, the farmers, the animal and the consumer. And that’s better for everyone.

Grain-finished cattle are supplemented with non-GMO grains to top off their usual free-range pasture-based forage diet.

Not only does New Zealand grass-fed beef and lamb boast the flavours of nature with subtle notes of the green pastures the meat was raised on, but the unique nutritional benefits are second to none. Grass-fed red meat has higher vitamin A and E content and a favourable fat profile. It is lower in total fat, has more conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) with a healthier omega 3/omega 6 ratio than grain-fed meat. We have long lasting relationships with local farmers and select the best Beef and Lamb for our product range. The meat is processed at our sister company Taylor Preston’s, an export certified facility in Wellington.

Our fresh pork is 100% Pig Care Accredited from local New Zealand farmers.

Yes, we recommend for meats to be frozen 2 days before the use by date and defrosted in the fridge 

We package our meats into recyclable, carbon neutral and sustainable Chilltainers, with reusable ice sheets to ensure your meat stays cool.

Yes, Our Turks branded chicken is Free Range, as is all our New Zealand Beef and Lamb.

Absolutely, when you place your order, you can select an option for either delivery or click and collect.

Click and collect is available at our Porirua Branch. This service is free.

Currently we are only able to deliver to Wellington and the wider Wellington region.

If you live rurally, please give us a call and we may be able to organise a special delivery to a secure location for you.

We deliver Tuesday to Friday throughout the Wellington region (Extended delivery area coming soon).

Generally, online deliveries are made in the afternoon.

If you’re out when your package is delivered, don’t worry! Our packaging is fitted with ice sheets and insulation that is designed to keep contents cool until you get home.

Unfortunately, we are currently not able to. 

Not directly, however we can deliver to a close commercial address or a NZ Post Depot.

  • Add your details, select “delivery” or “click ‘n collect”.

Once the payment has been processed unfortunately it cannot be cancelled. 

However, if we are advised before fulfilling your order, we maybe able to arrange for an online credit.

Unfortunately, not at the moment, as our Clubcard system and online store are not compatible with one another, but this is a feature that we would love to implement in the future.
