Terms & Conditions

Membership

  • To become a Preston’s Clubcard Member and a Preston’s Points member, you must be aged 18 years or older and sign up in store at Preston’s Master Butchers.
  • Membership and existing loyalty points cannot be transferred.
  • During sign up, to identify you as the holder of this Clubcard, you must provide your full legal name, date of birth, suburb, contact number and email.
  • On signing up for a Preston’s Clubcard, you agree to the ‘Preston’s Clubcard’ and ‘Preston’s Points’ terms and conditions set out below.
  • Our Terms and Conditions can change from time to time – it is the user’s responsibility to check for updates at prestonsmasterbutchers.co.nz/terms-and-conditions.

Communications

By entering your email and contact number into our Clubcard Database, you agree to receive communications from Preston’s Master Butchers, such as email, SMS, phone, mail, app notifications and advertising on certain websites and social media. You can cancel email communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of the Preston’s newsletter or asking one of our staff to disable communications from your membership account.

There are, however, some messages that we must be able to send you. These include, for example, messages relating to changes to your account, important information relating to products and services you have purchased (like health and safety recall notices), forgotten passwords, updates to our T&Cs and Privacy Policy.

Privacy

  • If you choose not to enter your email or a contact number, we are unable to provide the full benefit of Preston’s Clubcard and Preston’s Points services for you, including collecting loyalty points as you need to be identifiable to redeem them.
  • Your information is used only for the purpose of our Clubcard Membership and Loyalty Programme Offer and will not be used for any other purpose. Your information will never be shared or sold to a third party.
  • We keep your information safe by only allowing certain staff members to access it and to only use it in association with providing you the facility of your Clubcard and Preston’s Points membership.
  • You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold on your membership. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or request it is updated, please contact us at [email protected]

Account

  • Money may be added onto the Preston’s Clubcard account to use for purchasing products in store from Preston’s Master Butchers. A great option to prepare for upcoming events and Christmas.
  • This can be topped up in store at Preston’s Master Butchers or through online banking to AE Preston 02-0528-0235721-000 using your Clubcard number in the reference field, allow two working days for funds to be allocated and available for use.
  • Account funds are fully refundable, in the event you would like to withdraw your funds, email [email protected] using your Clubcard number as reference, please allow 5 working days to validate account and complete process

  • Preston’s Clubcard funds can be used to purchase goods in store at Preston’s Master Butchers at any branch and anytime throughout the year.
  • When purchasing goods with Clubcard funds you must present your Clubcard and legal identification is required to use funds from your Clubcard account.
  • If your card is lost or stolen, please report it to Preston’s Master Butchers immediately, so your account can be frozen. Preston’s Master Butchers accepts no liability for lost or stolen funds, points, or vouchers.

Cancellation

  • To cancel your membership to Preston’s Clubcard and Preston’s Points, you must contact us through email [email protected]
  • To verify that you are the correct owner of the membership, we may ask for your legal identification such as a driver’s licence or passport.
  • Once your membership is cancelled, all personally identifiable data is terminated from our system(s). Any rewards or points accumulated will be forfeited. Any money held on the account will be paid into your nominated bank account.

Disclaimer

  • Preston’s Master Butchers have the right to change, suspend or terminate these T&Cs or the Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points programme at any time. 
  • We will give advance notice of any material change, suspension or termination on our Preston’s Master Butchers website (or you can obtain details by calling our store on 04 2377313), which will allow you time to cancel your membership within the period of that advance notice, in the event that you do not wish to agree to the relevant change or suspension. 
  • Where we change the T&Cs in a material way, a copy of the revised T&Cs will be available on our website and will be sent via email newsletter. The revised T&Cs will become effective 7 days after they were posted on our website, unless otherwise specified.
  • If you continue to use your Clubcard or seek to access or use any Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points benefits after the period of advance notice has expired, you will be deemed to have accepted the amended T&Cs.
  • In the event, a Clubcard account has not been used for 18 months and there is not any money held, it will be automatically closed. All personally identifiable data is terminated from our system(s). Any rewards or points accumulated are forfeited. If money is held on the account, we will keep the account open indefinitely and contact you using the account information for payment into a nominated bank account.
  • We reserve the right to remove items from the list of products able to add points, bonus offers or change the redemption rate of Preston’s Points vouchers. We will give notice of these changes on our website.
  • We may reverse Preston’s Points that have been allocated to you if there are any other grounds which we consider, in our reasonable discretion, justify a reversal, for instance, if the points were allocated to you by mistake (including by reason of our error) or if you earned them by misusing an offer, or through fraudulent means.
  • We reserve the right to monitor your purchase history to ensure that any Member Benefits are accumulated legitimately.
  • We reserve the right at any time without notice to:
  • decline to issue a Clubcard or provide the Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points Facilities;
    withdraw or cancel any Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points membership and/or benefits;
    decline the gifting of Preston’s Points to another member;
    terminate or suspend your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points membership; or 

terminate the Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points programme.

Grounds for doing any of the above include but are not limited to if you (or someone using your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points account):

abuse, misuse, or attempt to abuse or misuse your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points membership.

fraudulently accumulate Preston’s Points.

become bankrupt; or

there have been no points earn or voucher redemption activity on your account for 18 months.

Our Liability

You acknowledge and agree that there may be:

delay in issuing you with, or non-issue to you of, any Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points member benefits.

delay in or non-replacement of a lost, stolen or damaged Clubcard.

acts, errors or omissions by us while providing Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points benefits (including as referred to in these T&Cs).

loss, theft or damage to any documentation during the posting or delivery of that documentation to you; or

a suspension and/or termination of the Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points programme, including the ability for members to collect Preston’s Points and redeem discount vouchers and/or rewards. 

To the maximum extent permitted by law (and provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under New Zealand law), we will not be liable to you in any way for any cause in connection with the above matters, including for any unused Preston’s Points or vouchers balance on your account at the time of cancellation or termination. 

Provided that nothing in these T&Cs limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, any liability we may have to you in negligence, breach of contract or otherwise, and all conditions and warranties as to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or safety of any goods or services supplied by Preston’s Master Butchers pursuant to these T&Cs, whether express or implied by statute, are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law, and, where liability cannot be excluded (such as where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 applies), our liability to you will in all cases be limited to: 

the cost of re-supplying the goods or services or repairing, or paying the costs of repairing, the goods; or

reinstating the number of Preston’s Points, vouchers, or other member benefits, in dispute.

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any consequential, indirect or special damage or loss of any kind whatsoever arising from or in relation to your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points programme.

Preston’s Points

On signup for a Preston’s Clubcard, you are automatically enrolled to accumulate Preston’s Points. Preston’s Clubcard, exclusive deals and Preston’s Points are available for retail customers shopping in store at Preston’s Master Butchers retail store on Parumoana Street, Porirua. Preston’s Points are not available online or for trade and wholesale accounts. On signing up for a Preston’s Clubcard, you agree to the ‘Preston’s Clubcard’ and ‘Preston’s Points’ terms and conditions on this page.

Earning Points

  • Preston’s points are accumulated with a Preston’s Clubcard Account. Every $1 NZD (incl. GST) you spend at Preston’s Master Butchers retail stores, you will earn 1 Preston’s Point.
  • Preston’s Master Butchers may offer Bonus Preston’s Points, where you are eligible to earn bonus points by purchasing during bonus point events or purchasing bonus point products. The details of these promotions will be available in store and/or on our newsletter. It may take up to 48 hours for Bonus Points to appear on your Preston’s Points account balance. Bonus Points are earned on the specific product and do not apply if the product is part of our pre-packaged meat packs with a set price.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to present their Preston’s Clubcard to earn Preston’s Points and/or receive Clubcard Member benefits.
  • Where a refund has occurred, any corresponding Preston’s Points earned will be deducted from your Clubcard.
  • To review the amount of Preston’s Points, or the balance of your Clubcard, you need to contact us by email at [email protected] or visit us in store. We may ask for legal identification to process your request if your Clubcard is not present.
  • Points cannot be earned when purchasing a Gift Card, however, points can be earned when a Gift Card is redeemed on a purchase in store.

Rewards

  • When 1000 Preston’s Points have been accumulated on your account, you are eligible for a $10 discount voucher which is electronically attached to your account. During your next shop, you can redeem your current 1000 points for a $10 voucher or save for a later date. Points cannot be redeemed for cash and change will not be given.
  • To redeem your discount voucher, your spend must be of equal to or of greater value than the amount of the discount voucher, and it may be used on any products in store. No change can be given and discount vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Every time you shop instore, you go into the draw to win 1000 Preston’s Points. There is no minimum purchase amount required to enter. This will be drawn randomly each week; the winner will be contacted via email or SMS and Preston’s Points will be added onto their Clubcard account.
  • You must present your Clubcard to earn/redeem your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points rewards and/or member benefits. We will accept either your original Clubcard issued by Preston’s Master Butchers, or a digital copy you have saved to an approved card app/wallet in your mobile device, however, you may be asked to present identification or asked security questions associated with the personal information on your Clubcard/Preston’s Points account to verify you are the card holder and are eligible to claim your rewards.
  • Preston’s Points will expire after 18 months of account inactivity.
  • Discount vouchers are distributed in $10 denominations and can only be redeemed in one $10 voucher per purchase OR if you have accrued multiple rewards vouchers, all $10 rewards vouchers must be used in one purchase to redeem.
  • Preston’s Master Butchers accepts no liability for unclaimed points, expired points, missing points, points redeemed by a third party, lost or stolen points. We reserve the right to change the details of earning and redeeming Preston’s Points. We will give reasonable notice in the event that this may take place.

Your Responsibilities

Please keep your personal details updated. If you don’t keep your personal details up to date, we may not be able to provide you with your Clubcard rewards and/or benefits, which may result in a cancellation of your membership. You can update your email address and phone number(s) by emailing [email protected] or by asking one of our staff in store.

It is your responsibility to keep your Clubcard safe and secure. You must take all reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised use or access to your Clubcard, and information about your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points membership. This includes not sharing cards by mobile and/or screen shots of your Clubcard. You acknowledge that unauthorised access to your Clubcard and/or Preston’s Points account and personal information may occur if you do not take these steps.

Your Clubcard and account is unique to you and cannot be shared with other individuals, as doing so would allow them to access your Preston’s Points rewards voucher and accrue points that were not associated to you.

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.

Accounts
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Prestons Master Butchers and its licensors.

Links To Other Web Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by Prestons Master Butchers.

Prestons Master Butchers has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Prestons Master Butchers shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services.

We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party web sites or services that you visit.

Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service.

All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.

Disclaimer
Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance.

Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.

Changes
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
